Whether a solo playthrough is more appealing or getting every achievement is greater, there's always a reason to hunt down the fellow Source-muted scoundrels met aboard ship. Fort Joy and The Hollow Marshes beyond can feel very vast with the dozens of unique NPC's!

There are only five potential companions in Divinity: Original Sin 2 and they are scattered all around Fort Joy in specific spots, but some move around depending on the situation. With all the side missions and throw away lore to dive into, it's best to get the companions collected and out of the way.

12 Lohse: Where She Is

DOS2_Lohse Fort Joy

Lohse is an Enchanter with a troubled mind. After the player washes up onto shore they have to walk through the beaches towards Fort Joy. Upon walking there the player can find Lohse in her own head.

11 Lohse: How To Get There

Once the player inevitably finds the entrance to the grounds of Fort Joy by continuing to walk forward until they hear commotion, they can either climb the ladder or pass through the Magister guards.

Passing through the guards, Lohse is directly across from the entrance in front of a statue or shrine that counts as a Waypoint. She will be standing oddly still next to another NPC with candles on the floor.

10 Beast: Where He Is

Finding Beast can be a bit trickier since he is smaller, blends in, and not in any main area. Beast is a Battlemage situated on the beach beside the Fort Joy kitchen.

9 Beast: How To Get There

The best way to find him is to find the crocodiles. On the way to the crocodiles who hold the teleportation gloves, the player will pass Beast standing on a rock.

When in the kitchen located under Fort Joy - Square on the map, continue left of the map until no longer in Fort Joy territory. Beast will be talking out loud to himself near the edge of the water just before the crocodiles and crab. Keep to the water to be sure.

8 Red Prince: Where He Is

The Red Prince's default class is a Fighter and he is the first companion the player is able to run into after they escape the boat crash. He stalks the vast sea near the first spawning point in this section of the game.

7 Red Prince: How To Get There

Directly after fighting the Voidwoken on the beach, continue forward along the water's edge to quickly spot a red lizard looking out at the horizon on a sharp rock.

The easiest way to spot him is to keep to the water instead of following any path. He doesn't make any noise nor change location.

6 Ifan Ben-Mezd: Where He Is

Ifan is a sturdy Wayfarer. He, too, is at the entrance to the grounds of Fort Joy. The player must walk toward the main grounds and pass the guarded entrance to find him.

5 Ifan Ben-Mezd: How To Get There

Directly past the entering archway, the player will see a group of NPC's talking tensely in front of them. Ifan is one of these NPCs.

He is the human male defending the elf. This is all located within Fort Joy - Square behind Lohse and the Waypoint.

4 Sebille: Where She Is

Sebille is a sharp-tongued rogue. She is harder to locate because her time spent in Fort Joy involves hiding behind objects and following people.

3 Sebille: How To Get There

There are two locations where the player can find Sebille. The first one is behind a barrel near the kitchen. When inside the kitchen, there are four different ways out. Up the stairs towards the square, to the right past the Arena hatch, to the left, and downward.

Downward is where Sebille is. At first, she can be found directly at that corner behind a barrel. If not, she will be crouching behind a broken boat farther down from the kitchen as circled on the map.

2 Fane: Where He Is

Fane's default class is a wizard and he is one of the harder companions to find because he doesn't look like a companion at all and is hidden within an alcove behind large vines. At first glance of the entrance, it may seem like there is no alcove and at first glance at Fane, it may seem like he is merely an NPC.

1 Fane: How To Get There

At the first spawning point on the beach of Fort Joy, the player will want to continue forward until they meet a broken stone bridge and then pass it. Continue along the side until there are long, glowing vines. The player can walk through these to reveal an open space where Fane is kneeling and robed over a body.

The red circle is where Fane sits. At any point before the Fort entrance, the player must make their way to the right side of the map and find the vines that appear to block the way.
